Weather is always a concern. The Howl building has a good roof. As far as field exercises go real military radios like the rain! A statement that I have heard repeatedly out at Dayton. I will be operating from the field on Friday and Saturday regardless of the weather, also intend to be camping out at the site too. The self-propelled GRC-106 has a vinyl top that affords some protection from the elements and this year have a MEP-025 that I intended to bring along and will be interesting to see if that can operate in the rain without issues. That's if it rains.
Will have a second GRC-106 that I plan to have operational with all the covers removed in the building for the "Show and Tell" on Saturday and there has been lots of talk about activities on Friday so regardless of the threat of rain I know that I will be there.
Besides, weren't you there for the big flood of Y2K?
