My limited experience only includes keying the transceiver in CW mode to do testing and have to say it works just about the same as any other SSB transceiver in CW mode, the radio is just transmitting a 2 KHz audio oscillator that's controlled by the key. Think the manual calls for a KY-116 CW Key that is a leg mount key with the big UG connector just like on the T-195
The receiver has a different filter for CW and a real BFO when in the CW mode. Would assume it may be an adequate CW radio but my limited expertise in the black art of Morris leave me unqualified to answer.
Back in the old days when I had my Novice ticket had a KWM-2 SSB transceiver and have to say for as much touted a transceiver that is it sucked as a CW radio. From that time forward always thought that CW was an afterthought on all SSB transceivers.
