I missed Field Day locally ( I had to work), but I understand that one of
our local clubs had quite and experience. Specifically, certain gifted
members of one club now, through personal experience, can answer the question
"What goes snap, crackle, BOOM? The answer is electronic gear rated at 110
volts AC when it's connected to a generator putting out 220 volts AC. It
did take these certain, specially gifted individuals three times hooking up
three different pieces of equipment to figure the problem out. There were
explosions, flames, and screams (nobody was injured, though, thank God).

Darn, July 4th came early, and I missed it.

Hey Ray,

Im sorry we didn't think of you this year. I assumed you had alot if
invitations. The Amish chapter had one hell of a field day.! Massive food
spread, adult beverage in the evening. Good number of contacts and a nice
band opening on Sunday. We even ran a few groups of scouts thru thier
radio merit badge and the got on air contacts and a Fox hunting. Best field
day yet.

I will put you in the email list next year. Not long till able Archer 83 !

Wow, it was Field Day this last weekend! Did anyone else notice? The last
several years a friend would invite me over his place and we used it as an
excuse to all sit around and have a big meal, drink, talk and maybe play a
little Ham radio in the process. But did not hear from him the week before
so going to assume that he did not hold the usual shindig this year. That or
 maybe I was not invited?
