Thanks to our northern ham radio brother KA1TW the connector has been identified as being manufactured by the Japanese company Taiko Denki.

The connector looks to be a Taiko Dennis type conn. http://www.therfc.com/taiko.htm
Used in a lot of Japanese built ham radios.
