I will not be able to make the meet tomorrow at the Info Center. The wife and I have been spending Saturday mornings at the beach. That is why you haven't heard me on the Saturday M&S net.
I would like to operate from there from the car in the parking lot but my antenna is an Outbacker which is inefficient below 20 meters. Besides it doesn't have the tap for 60 meters.
Can anyone suggest a reasonable decent but small antenna I can mount on or next to the car?
One idea is a 60 meter hamstick type antenna but the vertical has a low angle of radiation. Another idea is an dipole made with two hamsticks. I can mount it on the car a couple of feet off the roof. This may be a possible NVIS antenna.
I can't use my 88 foot end fed antenna becaus I don't have enough room.
I don't intend to operate mobile, just from the parking lot. I use the tern hamstick generically. Does anyone know of a decent short loaded vertical?
