I know it's a long shot but anybody have a junk GRC-106 amplifier chassis? I need the big screw on antenna connector. Want to build up an adapter to use the whip on the mutt with a portable radio because I almost always use a dipole or inverted V with the 106 and would like to install the second radio on top the 106 and use it as a second transceiver for sixty meters. The second radio is my USCG PRC-108 that already has an internal loading coil so would just build up a box on the side that mates with the existing whip connector for the GRC-106 The idea is to have a second low power transceiver as a coronation radio. The PRC-108 is a solid state 25 watt AM/USB only transceiver. Have a VRC-12 for 51.0 FM but always need more radios!
