Dale, what speed was the code sent at? And what transmitter and power
level were you using? It was quite strong, 599 here into NW IL most of
the time, with a bit of QRM at the end.
How many years now have I been saying "I've got to get my CW speed up
again?" But despite having W1AW and no end of online practice sources
I finally sat down and got some practice in . Maybe you will continue
with Agent Code Practice?
Your method made it fun and helped to resolve my age-old problem of
anticipating what word is being sent. I somehow developed that habit
early on and it throws me off when what is actually sent doesn't match
up with what my brain thinks it's going to be. Random groups are one way
of dealing with that but they're boring to listen to and to go back and
check. After a bit I got in to the groove of copying what was being
sent without trying to put the letters into words and sentences even
though I knew that's what was being sent and it was easy to check afterward.
