All this talk of crystals makes me want to bring up the subject of my 1937
RCA R-104 that was built for the USCG It tunes from two to four and a half
MHz in its "MO' position but also has provisions for what appears to be
two crystals that to me look like the same crystal that's used in the TCS
family of radios. Big three pin affairs and would assume they are the same
sort of rocks. If anyone has any spare TCS receive crystals that are in the
two to four MHz range and would be willing to part with them I would be
interested. Going to assume that the receiver crystals would be 455 KHz offset.
I will be up in Gilbert at MRCA next month and that would save on shipping
if available.

The entire radio set, receiver, transmitter and antenna tuner can be seen
on EBay at:

No, that one is not the one I have being I only have the receiver and if
that did not cost a fortune would buy it to get the transmitter and stuff
but I do have the receiver itself.

Subject: [Milsurplus] DV-11-A and CR-1A/AR crystals

In the ongoing quest to reduce the piles around here:

First,

I have 40+ DC-11-A crystals that someone can have if they want. These are
the large case holders that were used in the SCR-522 and AN/ARC-3. I'm
never going to use them. There are a couple that should work for 2M transmit,
but mostly they'd be usable for stuffing a radio for cosmetic purposes.

Free for postage.

Now for the CR-1A/AR. These were the later crystals that could be used for
the SCR-522 and AN/ARC-3, and the AN/ARC-1. Although the ARC-1 uses a
different crystal formula than the other two radios.

I have a large number of these not usable for 2M AM, but could be used to
enable a receiver on a useful local aero frequency.

Let me know what crystal frequency you would like, and I'll try to fill it.

Also, free for postage.

Thanks
