Information supplied by Pete, WB2JWU and Joe, WA2EJT
There will be a measurement station on a separate table in the Howell Bldg. available for the BC-221, LM, and other military heterodyne frequency meters. A 6AG7 based ECO oscillator will provide a signal in the 3000 KC to 4000 KC range. This is within the primary HF range of the BC-221’s and LM’s so the beat note will be quite strong. A coax cable, with alligator clips and wire to accommodate the standard antenna and ground posts on these frequency meters will be provided. The test oscillator will be available from late Friday morning though out the event. There will be two test frequencies available, one on Friday morning to 7 PM Friday and the second from Friday at 7 PM through late Saturday morning. The results of the event will be announced at 11 AM Saturday morning before the presentation session. Your results should be submitted to Pete, WB2JWU or Joe, WA2EJT along with any interpolation calculations you might have used. Be sure to bring your equipment manuals along for your own reference and practice at home is advised. You can submit either or both frequencies.
If you have questions about this event. Post them on this reflector, or check with Pete and Joe at the event.
