[MRCA] GRC-106 Remote at Gilbert?

The AN/GRA-6 is the correct system for the AN/GRC-106. It uses the older style H-33 handsets just like the 106 and appears in the manual as the proper remote for that radio. Newer style remote systems like the AN/GRA-39 will not work with the 106 being it's the wrong style of connectors to mate with the radio.
I just got a complete AN/GRA-6 kit and am in the process of trying to round up the two H-33 handsets and the weird BA-414 battery that you need to get them to work with the hope of using it with my self-propelled GRC-106 that I will have at Gilbert, the battery provides the high DC voltage that's used to work the relays in the C-434 local control unit at the radio although the battery lives in the C-433 remote. The whole mess is a lot like the old DC remote control systems that were employed in the Motorola and GE DC remotes of the fifties and sixties. The BA-414 is a 45 volt battery and I think I can cobble one together using five nine volt batteries.

HI Breck,

The GRA-6 is correct, but the manual for the GRS-39 says it should work, but I have not figured how to make it work, but there is a line in the
GRC-106 manual for a dynamic mic input.

Anybody got any clues on what/how the dynamic mic input is used for in the GRC-106?

Tom
