[MRCA] M&S Net 11-03-16 Report

So I have been working to improve my portable ops. I started with a
FT-857D. I got together with Larry NE1S and he gave me access to his junk
box. I repurposed a MFJ tuner and housed a L network inside. The adjustment
on the right is an additional inductor for 80M I can switch in. The box is
perfect size and made for minimal cash and effort. I use the tuner to tune
a end fed half wave. The backpack is a little big and I'm not sure I'm
going to use it. I hope to make this into a backpack portable setup. That I
can operate anywhere right out of the bag.

Attached picture is the rig on the front seat. I quickly paid the wire out
off the spool in the rain. This only took me a couple of minutes!
