[MRCA] Another T-47( ) /ART-13 mod query

Although I like to consider myself somewhat knowledgeable of the T-47( 
), in working on a consignment of several of these transmitters, I found 
an audio module that is a bit different than others and is not included 
in manuals I have. This audio module has the carbon-dynamic switch 
removed and a gain (?) pot installed, instead.  The wiring looks 
"professional" but maybe its not?  I do have an ATC that has a gain pot 
added as a depot mod, it appears, but I've not seen this mod done via 
removing the mic selector switch.  What say all of you?
