Hi all,
I pulled my newly acquired BC-611-F apart this evening to make sure that
the crystals and coils were for 3885 as marked on the radio. They were.
It looked like it had never been apart before. Even though I made sure
that the board went into the channel, it was a bear to get it slid back
into place. I don't look forward to doing it again anytime soon but I
want to build up a battery pack and see it it'll fire up.
Any tips on how to get it to slide into place a little easier? I was
reluctant to apply any lubricants without checking with those have a
whole lot more knowledge than I.
And while on the subject, what's the best method to clean and lube the
antenna. It's sticky but in FB condition.

73 and thanks!
Jon
