The man knows of what he speaks!  Never made it to McCord but had an ADC mini-course.  I just looked at the little survival book packed in the seat pack and there,  lo and behold, is Breck's wonder attachment.   ...Good on you!

          Its too wet to mow the lawn so I've posted some photos and
      the usual comments on this years ARRL Field Day Operation which
      was kind of unusual as I used a hand crank generator for power for
      the majority of the contacts and no batteries. Actually it was a
      pedal driven generator.  :-D
