[MRCA] Guess where I was yesterday

Good on you!  I was stationed at AAFB, just outside of DC in the early 60,'s.  Enola Gay sat all by itself, decaying on an unused ramp down the street from the 95th FIS.  Many of us wondered why it was left out in the elements for so many years.   We moved to Dover in '63 so I don't know when they brought it in from the rain.  At least its OK, now.  Been to the old Silver Hill facility several times but have not made it to the Dulles complex yet.

I got two replies that guessed Wright Pat.  I was actually at the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum at Washington-Dulles Airport near DC.  The B-29 with 82 and the Circle R on the fuselage is the Enola Gay.  Visitors can get within ten feet of its cockpit and see the Norden sight in the nose. 73 deGene Smar  AD3F  From: Gene Smar [mailto:ersmar at verizon.net]
