Michael,

I've been wondering what these clocks might be worth. I have a Chelsae
Maritime Commission full-size clock that came from the Radio Americas
station on Swan Island. They (the "Agency") turned over a lot of stuff
to the, at the time, US Weather Bureau in the early 60's, when they
left. They pushed a lot of their equipment into the sea rather that
bring it back. I think the radio station, itself was brought out.
Anyway, when I was on Swan, the Govt. elected to switch to quartz clocks
and I was able to purchase thru surplus procedures, the last clock. I
still have the Bob Knietel (sp?) article from Pop Electronics that shows
the station and the clocks! Mine does not have the colored segments,
however. I asked Chelsea a few years ago about them and was referred to
a dealer who made replicas. I elected not to modify mine, however.
They are fine clocks and excellent collector items!!
