Good job, Breck.  Only you would overcome "crystal-controlled, weak, and on
AM is no way to go through life" by running such a set on CW.  How did you
key it?

Once upon a time I keyed a Northern Radio oscillator by wrapping a thin
wire around the pin of a buffer amp tube and applying grid block keying.
Worked Europeans on 10m with its one watt of output.

I favor the LM heterodyne frequency meter as BFO, having used it to hear CW
beacons on 2m with the ARC-1.
