[MRCA] Off Topic-Stoddard NM-20B

Hello Everyone,

 

Apologies for the Off Topic-not so far off as it receives AM & CW! The
subject unit followed my home from a local Hamfest recently along with the
companion not easily luggable transit case with all of the accessories. I
would call it in better than 95% condition. Appears to be operable with the
A+, B+ supply, but will probably need +4.5-4.5 bias cells at minimum.

A super sensitive receiver (apparently) used to detect power line noise.

 

Have any of you come across one of these?  It would possibly make a great
receiver, but is lacking any bandspread tuning and probably very easy to
overload.
