Oops, I goofed up the call signs - they should be W1HNJ and WHNJ, not w1HMJ and WHMJ.

Rob, I had the pleasure of working a guy named Ed at W1HMJ a few minutes ago on 40 meters for SKN from my mobile QRP setup, and it made my day to find out he was at the WCC Marconi Museum operating the Mackay transmitter that was formerly on the SS Hope hospital ship which had the call WHMJ, Is this a new exhibit? I did not see anything about it on the museum web site, and the call looks to be very recently assigned. The keying sounds very unique, very soft and well shaped, very different from sound of the WW2 vintage Mac 167Bs that we have show up on the Old Military Radio Net CW session on Sunday nights at 2100 Eastern on 3570 kc.

BRAVO ZULU on putting a another piece of radio history on the air! Please let us old military radio collectors and operators know more about W1HMJ/WHMJ. Thanks and Happy New Year!

Thanks and 73 de AJ1G, Chris, Stonington, CT ZUT
