[MRCA] AB-1241/PRC-104 bad idea?

Well I might be overstressing the little base, but just had great conditions from Nantucket to bow, nh on 60,75 and 40. Also contact to kutztown, pa on 60. Not bad, I would say!
If I could manage to not let the smoke out of the base, I should have some radio fun here on vacation!

ISTR the base is rated at something like 50 watts. Not sure if that is key down
continuous data (maybe matches the 1:9 duty cycle of the 104?) or SSB. I
suppose the worst thing that could happen is that you fry it. They're not too
expensive and readily available.
