Hi guys. On vacation with a harris RF-3200E flyaway (100-125W radio). I brought an AS-2259/GR antenna with me. Mostly because I wasn't sure what mounting options I might have here at the rental house for a dipole or otherwise. I think I made a bad idea. I was thinking I would use the AB-1241 (hubcap) base for the -2259. But before I powered anything up, I remembered it had a transformer in it and may not handle 100W. In fact it may only be for manpack transceivers.
I looked up on prc68.com and it talks about this transformer, but doesn't explicitly mention the power handling capabilities. I should mention I will be using SSB.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Eugene
