        A Great week end and event. WX CAVOK or better with high cirrus 
on Saturday. My host the 261st Coast Artillery Reenactment group gave me 
an excellent location  to set up. Band condx on 40 were  fair  but 80 
meters during the afternoon was very quite. I had hoped to make at least 
one CW contact using the sets radials and the whip antenna mounted on 
the IN-127 insulator.  My BC-474 has a simple mod for 40 meters  and my 
ops produced  contacts  down the coast. I have a mod for the BC-1306 for 
40 (thanks Stew)  but did not open the set up to activate it but have a 
mod for the low end of 80 installed.      Most popular items on my 
display were the field phones and the BC-611's with the AN-190 loop 
antenna.  Friday evening we had a transmitter hunt for my miniature  
3.885 transmitter box  and I loaned out my BC-611 equipment to several 
of the 261st members to practice their DF skills -  and it created quite 
a bit of interest.
Other WWII Radio equipment displays were scarce at the event, I saw one 
BC-1000 on static display and several plastic BC-611 type units stuffed 
with FRS radios.
