[MRCA] WS19 Pye coax connector query

Gentlemen,

As some of you know, I have/use a WS19 MKII on 75 meters, occasionally.
I want to replace the antenna SO-239 with an original Pye connector.
Courtesy of one of our group, I have the requisite connectors for the
front panel of the radio. I also have a footlocker full of Pye coax
cable jumper from WWII. All are possibly usable but I'd like to
re-build one and use new coax. I have taken apart a Pye connector to
the extent that I got the clamp off OK and removed the internal brass
ferrule/sleeve. What I can't figure out is how to get the center
conductor out? I had to cut and pull the old coax out in pieces and
that worked out OK. There is a stub of the center conductor left and it
goes up into the connector body via a clear plastic disk insulator. It
then "attaches" to the right-angle female receptacle, internally. My
question is, how does one get the center conductor un-soldered or
unattached? Or... are these one-time connections?
