Gilbert is coming up this week and was thinking of camping out there but the more I think about it the more I think its way better to stay in a heated hotel then a small tent on the ground.
The problem is it will cost me over $200 all said and done so I came up with an idea.
I have a DAV-2 Navy Transceiver that’s all complete and working on 3.885, this is the same radio that I have used at Dayton for three or four years and has all good tubes, original antenna, real headset not the skull cap and throat microphone although I always used a T-17 handheld and will throw in the adapter for that. It has a home built battery pack for all the required voltages and is also currently lashed up to an Alice frame and I would be willing to sell the whole set for $250 delivered to Gilbert. It’s just the thing if you want to DF or play radio at the event. Will throw the thing on the bench this week and see if it needs a new battery pack and if that’s the case will build a new pack for it.
I am also thinking of trying to get rid of some tubes that are around here. I have all NOS Military sleeves of five of 6BA6, 6X4, 6C4, 6J6, 6AQ5, 6BA8, 6AH6, 6AN8 and 12AT7 along octal like 6V6 and 6SN7 and am thinking of something like $5 per sleeve also a lot of separate power tubes like 2C39, 6146 and 4D21/4-125A if anyone is interested.
This is the important part though, being this is to pay for the room at Gilbert I will gladly deliver to the MRCA event in person but am not interested in having to pack and ship anything at this time. If anyone I sit rested please contact me off list.
