It is a part of the SCR-624B.  The simplified description is
the ground transportable version of the SCR-522.

This box, along with a BC-1312 and BC-1314 box(and a bunch of other
stuff), allowed for remote control of the radio set from an EE-8 field 
phone up to two miles away.
