I had an emergency with my "Frankenstein" *** antenna tuner due to the
low frequency involved
for military MARS ops and the resulting very high voltages which
created a failure of the rotor wipers (HV arc) on one of the variables,
a quick substitution allowed me to stay on schedule but required a
different input connector location and a large piece of insulation to
mount the substitute capacitor. Also note the lexan cover which protects
the meter on the watt meter which has survived many years of amateur
and commercial maintenance.

*** Frankenstein - A term used to describe a piece of gear that has been
constructed from pieces removed from other equipment and gear that is
often modified to change its personality to fit the occasion or emergency.

BTW efficiency of this tuner is above 90 percent which is not bad for
the lower frequencies.
