[MRCA] Sunday OMRN CW Net

You were good copy Breck for 5 watts!  Yes I was on my Army-Navy Command Set mash up - T-19 ARC-5 transmitter. SCR-274 BC-456 modulator/dyno unit, ATA antenna relay (complete with label plate with date neatly notched out), 274 series TX control box. 50 watts out using the KJ4KV "autotransformer" antenna matching network.

Listened for the M and S After Dark Net on 3830 at 2200.  Crickets.....and lots of bleed over from some real loud SSB on 3827, which is there every Sunday night.  As it has been consistently on Sunday nights at 2200, 3885 was quiet as a church on Monday morning.  Suggest M and S consider using that frequency rather than battling the SSB QRM  down in SSB land on 3830.

Gud sigs tonight.  Ted's GRC-19 pounded in here with excellent keying. I think Chris was running 50 watts on a Command set? Sounded good. Kw1I's Mackay had an interesting CW note with some nice decay and ring to it  and tnx for the QRS. Be careful in the parades tomorrow. KK1K BC-457 was heard here in the RF Black hole Chickenland. Tonight was my first CW contact on my PRC-71. see attch photo. Pardon the messy bench but  had the set on the bench to pad down the IF crystal for 3570 to offset for the CW tone audio,  When ordering crystals I usually offset 1 kcs for CW and 1.5 Kcs for SSB .   .   .   ordered the crystals from a defunct company in California so they were off.
