Last night on the Sunday night OMRN(CW) made my first contact using the
RCA aircraft set the AVR-20A receiver and the AVT-112A transmitter and
the vibrator power supply the AVA-126A. I ran the vibrator power supply
off of the 12 volt bench supply. I got on about 10 mins early and sent
out a few "shave and a haircuts" but no answer, then Ted gave me a quick
"dit dit" just as he was getting ready to call the net. Power output
from the AVT-112A was 4 watts and and carefully matched into the 230
foot loop fed with open wire line and using field strength to maximize
everything. CW Keying of the AVT transmitter was done simply by
opening and closing the PTT line and listening to the relays klicky
klick. The CW key is home brew and and makes a wonderful thump thump
noise and was given to me by a local ham. So there you have it, klicky
klick klick, , thumpy thump and a steady Bzzzzzzhummmmzzz from the
vibrator.

See attached video.

All stations were heard and it was great getting a confirmation of the 4
watts from KK1K up yonder in NH. On the video you can hear Brown W1NZR
and Dale KW1I checking in and the short acknowledgment from Ted. Brown
was using a TCS and Dale had his Sunair 9000 on the air.
