Ray and Tom -

Wow! Its great to see the articles you have found......... Tom -- I hate to
say this, but I still have some of the actual gear still in my rats nest
here! It is interesting to see that the article on the Apollo USB system
didn't mention the actual equipment. For the record the Apollo Command
Module USB transceiver is the Collins 621F-2, I also had the PMP
(Pre-modulation Processor) and the DSE (Data Storage Equipment - a flight
rated 1 inch tape recorder/reproducer). I also still have the 618V1 HF Voice
T/R used on project Mercury(Picture Attached).....Those were the days back
in high school rummaging around the junkyards and through the trash cans of
government contractors in the Washington Area. Remember JA Brenners Scrap
Metals on New York Avenue....He had the scrap contract for Goddard Space
Flight Center.....20 cents a pound for most stuff!
