Gang,
We ran an experimental night-time edition of The Moose and Squirrel
Cold-Ware Clandestine and Long-Range-Reconnaissance-Patrol Net last
night on 3705KHz AM/SSB at 03:00Z. We picked up a bunch of reprobates
from the 02:00Z Old Military Radio Net CW session. Conditions were good,
and we blew the cobwebs out of a bunch of interesting radios.
As the propagation forcasts suggested, good NVIS conditions prevailed,
and the footprint of the net was extended considerably beyond the
250-mile'ish radius we see with the 60-meter noontime operation.
Everybody heard WA7DIA's GP-7 (35-40 watts) in Georgia just fine.

Dale - KW1I: Most pounds per watt: Navy TCM Transmitter, 30-watts, God
know how much weight.
Mike - WU2D: Most rigs on the air: ART-13, ARC-2A, and TA-12
Jack - WA2DIA: Most distant station: Warner Robins, GA - 770 miles

I guess we'll have to do it again some time while the winter conditions
