Chris,

OK. Let's give it a go tonight at 03:00Z (22:00 EDT) I'll run the B&W 5100
so as to be half-way loud, and I'll use a receiver that I can put on SSB
easily.

Let's post here in real time after we establish a freq.

That would work well for us that participate in the OMRN CW net at 2100
Eastern on Sunday nights, want to give it a go tonight Al? Those who want
can slide up the band from 3570, we usually wrap up around 2145 or so...I
will keep the GRC19 running to act as an anchor station. Not sure if anyone
will be using the frequency then, but we can plan on looking up the band in
10 kc increments if 3705 is busy...

Rob,

(Geez, I really like these charts.) This one for this AM: You can see
clearly that the 75-meter band is already "going long" by 5 AM (10 UTC), and
gets worse by 6AM.
We need to do QRP when there's a big yellow spot over us. indicating that
NVIS is viable.

Who's up for trying 3705 at about 10 PM EST? We should have a loud station
or two to keep a hole open.

Al

Hi All,

75 meters at night and low-powered AM sets seem a mutually exclusive
situation. The wider the band is open, the more QRM there is.

On the Saturday morning net, I usually had to wait until the sun was up and
the band shortened quite a bit before getting in with TBX.
