Hi Tom -
I'm pretty sure the URC-58's were used on some versions of the PCF's (Swift
Boats) in Vietnam but they were not used on the PTF's.  The PTF's had the
ARC-94 HF set (Collins 618T) and the very early PTF's even had TCS sets
prior to 1964 or thereabouts.  Some 1974 photo's of post-war PTF's here
with a photo of the radio room of PTF-17.  This was the same configuration
as used in Vietnam for those boats...The PTF's also carried the GRC-109 for
HF CW.

The handset in the photo's was not used on PTF's.  We had H-169/U handsets
and a C-1138 remote patched in.
