Thinking about this more... with a switchboard, would it be possible for a remote phone station to actually dial up one extension to connect to a GRA-39 on a VHF radio, or dial a different extension to connect to another GRA-39 for an HF radio? That would be kewl!

I like the idea. Lets also get one of those GRA-39 (or equivalent) thingies to interface wires to radios!

Troops,
We've talked about this before. Wire-line has always been an important part of mil comm. Perhaps we can stretch out some wire and play with our telephone stuff.
I just checked my SB-22 12-line switchboard to find that I DID NOT leave the BA-30 D-cells in place for 10 years, so it should still be serviceable. I have a couple of EE-8's and TA-312's. I can also offer a spare PRC-77 if someone has an appropriate remote control.
Does anyone have a bunch of commo wire? Perhaps we can put a phone in a more public place, like out on the midway.
What do you think?
