Never could understand the fascination with the AS2259 NVIS inverted vee. Its basically a pair of dioples that are resonant nowheres near to the ham bands most likely used by hams for NVIS - 80/75 and 40. Roll your own version with a pair of inverted vee dipoles cut for those bands, rig them to a steel or fiberglass mast (paint it OD if you want the mil-rad look) and get a more set efficient set of radiators that will be a near perfect match to any radio with a 50 ohm output impedance. Add a dipole for 5 megs for the M&S net coverage, or better yet, use disconnect links to make a 60/40 dipole to go with an 80/75 meter dipole. Cut an 80 meter dipole to resonate in the CW band and insert insulators and disconnect links about 5 feet in on each leg to allow the shorter inner section to resonate in the upper end of the phone band. Eaesy-peasy and no frustration trying to get a low SWR match with the "real thing" at frequencies you actually
can operate on.

Anyone bring a AS-2259 to Gilbert? I field tested one several years ago and came up with approx matching values for 80 and 40 meters as well as 60 Meters.
