Outside operations today with the Sunair AN/PRC-108, weird little radio built in the seventies for the USCG that operates on six crystal controlled channels. Currently have rocks installed and operating for 5.357, 5.00 (WWV) and 2.182 the old international distress frequency. Also have rocks for 3.885 but have to build up the tuned circuits for that band. Just have a twelve volt 9AH gel cell in it now and will be interested to see how well it holds up. Next step will be to try to develop some form of portable antenna for true field use because today I connected it to the 60 meter dipole that the big radio uses.
