Two better options! Get 12 volt radios like the Sunair GSB, Mackay or Harris stuff or get a vehicle with a 24 volt system, think any number of people would trade a M-1009 for your LandRover.

SURE makes a nice converter. Lets see 500W would be 20.8 amps
