On the higher freqs the OCF dipole (or any wire antenna for that
matter) will sprout multiple nodes in the antenna pattern that even show
gain over a dipole. So you'll experience remarkable performance from say
20M up to 6 given the gain in the pattern, although the nulls in the pattern
will be deep. On 40 the antenna will probably exhibit a four-leaf clover
pattern at 45 degrees and multiples thereof. Given the antenna's height
above ground (~1/8 WL) on 80M you'll have an NVIS antenna that radiates
mainly straight up. Not bad for local (out to about 500 miles or so)
contacts but not a barn burner for DX.
You might want to try downloading EZNEC software and modeling the
radiation pattern to convince yourself this will be the case. But I'm
pretty sure you'll have multiple nodes with gain on the higher freqs.
