Nope.
If "everyone" includes the US commercial nuclear power industry (in
terms of MWe generation it's still the largest nuclear industry in
the world), then that is very incorrect. The traditional RAD, REM,
and Curie remain firmly in use. The SI system's grey, sievert, and
becquerel (tera!) are seldom encountered, and there are few signs of
imminent retirement for the traditional units. Those SI units are very
awkward in scaling for most practical working applications and do not
present any "value add" for daily usage in the real, versus academic,
world.
Also, I assume this discussion is really about the AN/PDR-27(*). I
don't believe there's a "Vehicular Radiac Receiver System 27" anywhere.
The variations of the AN/PDR-27(*) are so great that citing only
"AN/PDR-27" without the A, B, C....Q, R, S, T provides *no* useful
identification of the device. See http://www.schaffrath.net/pdr-27/ .
I used various models in the US nuclear submarine service 40 years ago.
