Received the PRC-25 parts radio which was de-milled by torching the front
panel, nothing touched on the inside. Too bad, it was a Tobyhana Army
Depot rebuild, could not make out the date. Pulled A10 the interval
oscillator module I needed as well as the tube shield and "rotor button"
that turns A10. The rotor button has a flat spring on the face of it to
engage the slot in A10, mine was snapped off near the top, still worked
but marginal. I thought the buttons would be a direct swap but of course
the cross pin was drilled a bit different on the parts radio, that would
have been too easy. So I drifted out the rivet holding the spring and
swapped springs and reset the rivet. Radio is now on frequency and output
is a solid 3 watts @ 51MHz. Thanks to all who have been following the
thread and given moral support.
