[MRCA] RBC-2 Help

Hello all, I have an RBC-2 that is partially dead. I noticed two subassy's inside, They are marked "X-501".Both have a toggle switch in the "OFF" position and both have a 6AB7 tube with a Capacitor under the tube socket. I didn't want to switch these on as I don't know what they are for.I cant find these assy's in the RBB/RBC manual. I do get a hum from the LS-3 if I wiggle the selectivity switch.  Any ideas?
