Excellent conditions today, worked KA3TIN S2 to S4 the entire time , he
was on horz antenna and my understanding is part of it was in the air
and the other half was over a cliff? and also worked Walt KB3SBC on
his tripod antenna Walt at first was barely readable and then came up to
S1 and then could copy him steady , could copy TIN even on low power.
N3FRQ had a good signal and came in around 11:40.

We were using an RF-301 and a 200 foot horz loop.

Tried for 20 minutes between 11:15 and 11:30 to find KG3SBC on APRS and
then realized later I had the wrong
call sign. duhhh :-)

Guess I will have to drag out my APRS stuff and take it on my next
expedition , an ole GE mobile with the receiver removed and a APRS
encoder stuffed in its place . cheep
