For many locals to the Northern VA area Manassas is good... It's either soggy due to rain, or hotter than heck.... But I myself enjoy the Manassas hamfest and always find some difficult to find parts... Now Berryville, VA hamfest is another fun hamfest with great food to boot.. Watch for the deer along every route leading there of you may have a 6 point buck as a hood ornament. You will find hams from NY, NJ, NC, WV MD, VA, DE... I don't think there is any hamfest that hasn't declined in the past decade. Some get upset to see XYL's selling crafts or jewelry, but remember that may be the only way the OM can get out of the house! (not my case, after 40 years of hamming and 36 years with the XYL (she has gone to 2) it's always fun to match faces with callsigns and share stories... I like Timonium but after this odd winter we finally got some nice WX so other priorities won out.
