I will not be able to make it either, but plan on having the Angry 9 strapped
into the cab of the new Tacoma 4X4 to operate up here in New England with mobile
whips and NVIS dipoles during the Saturday morning ops if you want to have a
long haul outstation for comms checks. The jump seats in the back of the Tacoma
access cab, when in the stowed position, are perfect for strapping in the GRC-9,
and there is plenty of room on the floor behind the seats for the DY-88. Will
have this setup up at NEARFEST next month.

When I bought the Tacoma they didn't tell me about the military option package.
Apparently they spec ops guys love em...

Subject: [MRCA] Gilbert 2012 - no-show

Gents:

Due to recent work requirements for Saturday, 9/22, I will not be
attending Gilbert this year. I was looking forward to playing with some of
the newly-proposed modes (51-to-3.885 repeat, etc.) But maybe next year
I'll get my C-434/433 remote control boxes working with the PRC-10 and we
can try it from inside the barn. Another thought for next year would be to
string out some twisted-pair wire around our camp and connect EE-8 phones.

In any case, have fun and remember to listen for "foreign" callsigns
from Hams in SNJ. If I get home from work early enough I'll check out 3.885
and the 60M freqs for you-all.
