Attn Troops,
Anyone interested - - - several of us will be on the push of 3.685
at approx 2230 hours plus or minus tonight (Sunday evening 4 MAR) ,
back up push will be 3.675.
Primary purpose of this informal 2230 hour get together is to try
out the military AM rigs on the "low end" of 75 meters at 3.685 and
check band conditions, and do some quick signal checks.
Make transmissions short please so stations can break in.
If you don't have AM with carrier try SSB or CW and say hello.
:-)
I will not be checking into the CW net at 2100, so could someone let
Ted know during the CW Net.
and - - - - - - - -
Tonight (4 March) is also the introduction of new Ch 3 frequency and
introduction of additional modes for 60 meters.
Warren K2ORS has suggested that we meet on the old channel 3(dial
5.3665) prior to midnight and then switch over to the new channel 3
(5357.0 kHz) at 0001 EST and try it out to include CW.
Please refer to the ARRL link at the bottom, CW must be on the "center
frequency" of 5358.5.
I suspect that the new channel 3 may be busy so we can use Ch 4
5371.5 kHz the Moose and Squirrel frequency as a back up.
Anyone confused yet?
Please review the ARRL notes on Ch 3 and CW operations at:
http://www.arrl.org/60m-channel-allocation.
