Actually, the original hand crank generator used with SCR-694-AW was GN-53
or GN-53-AW (only difference is color). The production model, SCR-694-C,
originally shipped with GN-57. GN-58 came with later SCR-694-C Orders and
probably with first two AN/GRC-9 orders. The bulk of AN/GRC-9 Orders shipped
with GN-58-A. In the late 50's the front cover was redesigned (appears on
most Depot overhauled RT-77A's) and the G-43/G appeared. Pack and vehicular
variants were designated AN/VRC-34 and AN/GRC-87. Final replacement Orders
were for G-43A/G.
