Don't think I can add anything beyond what Al already posted except to maybe beat the drum for Hamfest and Military vehicle rallies. Been doing this stuff for a while now and find EBay has been great for finding special or unique items but you pay for them with dealers like Fair or Murphy being a close second with reasonable prices then Hamfest being lower prices but way less selection unless you go somewhere like Dayton but for the last couple years have found the best prices and surprisingly good selection at vehicle rallies like Aberdeen and Gilbert. Things like $200 R-390A and R-1051G receivers along with $400.00 GRC-106 are good examples of purchases at Aberdeen and Gilbert and I would think maybe the worst place to buy is from Government Liquidators or GSA Auctions the two online government auction sites being that in almost ten years now I think I may have bought three lots with everything going for two to three times what I can buy the same stuff for from other sources for half the price. Let's see what others have to say.
