Hi all,

Recently picked up this neat accessory for encoding/decoding morse with burst capability. Here is a picture of the two units:

I decided to pull out the batteries before they leak and destroy the units. The 4230 encoder's battery was intact and had about 5V on it. I removed it anyway since it was clearly original to the unit (Soldered in place). The 4231's battery however, was leaking. Fortunately, I got the battery out and nothing was obviously affected.

I would love to find a battery to replace these. But I have no idea what voltages they are. I am guessing they are NiCd batteries. Here is a photo of the battery. It is a VARTA and the numbers on it include A85 and 0460 73366

Anyone have any idea on this battery?

Some other internal pictures of these units in case you're interested.
