[MRCA] Retransmit

The URC family of radios (URC-100,101,104 and 110) all have retransmit connectors that allow two radios to be connected together. I have once set up a URC-104 on 51.0 to a URC-110 on 145.520 that provided a cross band platform. The 104 has a tone squelch decoder and when the radio receives tone it keys the transmitter. The 110 had a regular COS control line that keyed the 104. The cable has a number but do not know it off the top of my head but it was something that I built up using just the two cross band connectors and a five or six conductor cable. The big problem with trying to do anything on just low band is that you need two offset frequencies and no radio that operates in the tactical FM band will support this. My RT-1439 (VRC-88) SINCGARS while doing frequency hopping and all that other junk still won't operate on offsets. The URC family of radios will operate offsets but that was included for supporting satellite operation and accommodating the transponders offset. Just thinking about this would speculate that the amateur concept of using repeaters is unknown in tactical military radio?
