[MRCA] Hacked email accounts

There has been a sudden rash of hacked accounts over the last two weeks. I do not think it is the individual account that has been hacked, it's yahoo.

In any case, do not ever click on a link in any message that has no subject line content regardless of it's supposed origin.

In addition, you will never see a message from me, or most people, that does not have something in the subject line, AND a signature at the bottom.

I'm afraid this is not over yet. 5 yahoo accounts from people you probably know have been compromised in the last 2 weeks.

Yesterday I change my password & other pertinent information on my yahoo account. It apparently did no good as it happened again this afternoon.

This thing dose not affect addresses in you address book as you would suppose. It sends messages to addresses contained in you IN folder hence the re: on the subject line. But these spam messages, though ending up in the victim's "sent" folder do not contain the individual's signature at the bottom that yahoo automatically affixes to every message sent.

In response to this I have created another folder titled "alternate in box" and transferred all messages from my normal IN folder into it. So, if it happens again, there is only one message currently in my IN folder & that guy is a jackass anyway.

We'll see what happens.
Sorry, & thanks for your indulgence.
