Of the AT-984A/G,

That seems an outlandish price for an AT-984A/G, but one is never safe
predicting ebay outcome. I bought my last one on ebay about six years
ago for about $30, which is still higher than they should be, IMO.
The AN/PRC-25 and -77 have a versatile set of antenna gear available:
(1) RC-292 - Vertical antenna and ground plane assembly.
(2) AT-271A/PRC and AB-591/PRC-25 - 10-foot tubular antenna and flexible base.
(3) AT-784/PRC - Directional loop antenna (major component AT-1082/PRC).
(4) AT-892/PRC-25 - 3-foot steel tape antenna and flexible base.
(5) AT-984A/G and AB-591/PRC-25 - 150-foot wire antenna and flexible base.
The prices for item (3), the DF loop, seem to have climbed a lot in the past
ten years. It also surprises me how hard it can be to find item (4), the
very common short tape antenna, at a reasonable price. If found for less
than $20 the tape antenna seems to be a bargain today.
My rarely-used AN/PRC-77 has antennas (2) through (5) above, and it is fed
by a supply of old BA-5598/U batteries.
